Begin with the whole room
Measure the available floor area and ceiling height. Mark doors, windows, furniture, and any parts of the room that need to stay clear. Think about the space needed to approach, use, and leave the equipment comfortably; the footprint alone is not the whole plan.
Trace the route in
Walk the intended delivery route from the building entrance to the final position. Note narrow doorways, turns, stairs, lifts, and thresholds. If the product arrives in more than one part, confirm the packaged dimensions and any assembly or placement requirements for that product.
Before ordering
- Record room width, length, and height.
- Record the narrowest opening and any tight turn on the access route.
- Compare your measurements with the product dimensions and required operating clearance.
- Ask about delivery and placement if any part of the route is uncertain.
Dimensions and clearances vary by equipment. Use the eventual product page and manufacturer instructions for the final fit check.
