Power and installation / Buying Guides

Home gym power requirements

Some training equipment needs power and some does not. The product and manufacturer documentation are the source for any electrical requirement.

Start with the product

Do not assume that two similar pieces need the same supply. Look for the electrical information on the product page and in the manufacturer documentation: whether power is needed, the plug or connection type, and any placement restrictions.

Check the proposed position

Locate the available outlet and consider the route of the cord so it does not cross a walking path. Avoid choosing a position based on an extension lead or an unverified outlet. If a product calls for a particular circuit, connection, or installation method, a qualified electrician can assess the site.

Before ordering

  • Read the exact product's electrical and installation instructions.
  • Check where the equipment will stand in relation to the available supply.
  • Confirm any professional installation requirement with the seller or manufacturer.
  • Ask for clarification before ordering when product documentation is incomplete.

We do not assign a voltage, outlet, or circuit requirement to equipment that has not been selected.
